Accessing your care
We have been working very differently during the pandemic and continue to look at new ways of working to meet our patients needs safely and effectively. To help us manage the care of all our patients we need your support and cooperation.
There has been increased use of online consultations which many patients find helpful as it enables them to access care more easily. There have also been increased numbers of telephone appointments.
We provide face to face appointments for those patients where face to face assessment is the best method to deliver the care they need.
The surgery is open for all the services we deliver. We do not offer a sit and wait service and are continuing to triage all requests for care, this means you cannot book directly into an appointment, and we ask for some information first to ensure you have the right kind of help with your health care needs.
Please complete an e-consult if you can for any non-urgent problems as this helps reduce the phone waits for those who can’t use on-line methods. If you contact us by phone our reception team will ask if you would be happy to answer a few questions, this helps us to ensure your care is managed in the right time frame by the right person. Our reception team do not make any clinical decisions about your care.
We have expanded our clinical team over recent years and now have clinical pharmacists and physicians associates who may see you rather than a GP or member of our nursing team for some of your care. Our pharmacists can provide medication reviews and have detailed knowledge of medications and are also able to prescribe. Our physicians’ associates are able to assess, diagnose and treat a number of conditions.
We are actively recruiting to clinical and non-clinical teams please have a look at the job vacancies.
