Sexual Health & Family Planning

Chlamydia Screening

Are you aged 15-24 ?

If so read on….

We offer Chlamydia screening and we recommend getting tested for this if you are sexually active.

  • Chlamydia is the most common bacterial sexually transmitted infection
  • People who are 24 and under and sexually active are more likely to get Chlamydia
  • 1 in 10 people 24 and under who are tested, have Chlamydia
  • It effects both men and women

If you wanted to get tested you can either make an appointment with one of our nurse or healthcare assistants or simply pick up a testing kit from reception.

For more information visit NHS.uk

During lockdown you can test at home for sexually transmitted infections (STI’s). It is quick and easy. Order your free and confidential kit today. https://bit.ly/3fLTCbO #timetotest

Contraception

Please make an appointment with one of our family planning nurses who will discuss your choices with you.

Contraception is free for most people in the UK and allows you to choose when and if you want to have a baby. The only way to help protect yourself against sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is to use a condom every time you have sex. Other methods of contraception prevent pregnancy but don’t protect against STIs.
