This Carers Week and throughout the year we work to ensure unpaid family carers and caring friends are identified, informed, supported and heard.
This year Carers Week is the 8th-14th June 2026 and the theme is Building Carer Friendly Communities – places, services and community groups where unpaid carers are recognised, understood, and valued.
During Carers Week we have planned a mix of events online and in venues around Hertfordshire for unpaid carers who provide care or help to someone close to them who is ill, elderly, disabled or has an addiction or other care need, to join in with.
We will also be holding our Annual Event for Carers on Thursday 11th June 2026, in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, 10am to 4pm.
More details about this event and the other activities planned during the week are below. We will also include events organised by Carers UK and the organisations we work closely with, when they share details.
If carers want to learn more about the events planned or are interested in joining in any, please contact us to book or register an interest. You can email us at contact@carersinherts.org.uk or call us 01992 58 69 69. Some events will be available to book online via the listing on our events page, otherwise please phone or email us.
Please get in touch if you are planning any events for Carers Week that we can tell unpaid carers about – email comms@carersinherts.org.uk with details.
Carers Week is an annual campaign co-ordinated by national charity Carers UK, that aims to raise awareness of caring. You can find out more about Carers Week at www.carersweek.org
