March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.

More than 7,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year, and sadly two thirds of women are diagnosed too late when it is much harder to treat the cancer.

Finding ovarian cancer early can mean it’s more treatable so it’s hugely important to be aware of the symptoms to look for:

  • Bloated tummy
  • Always feeling full
  • Stomach pain
  • Needing to wee more

Ovarian cancer mostly affects women over the age of 50 but younger women can also get it.  Visit the NHS website for more information. And you can learn more about Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month on the Target Ovarian Cancer website.
